WHAT PEOPLE SAY:

From Runners World 2014:

In short: I LOVE MARLOW HALF!

In full: This is the most ridiculous half marathon I've ever done and I just love it...!

Great organisation; lovely course (it's hard - be under no illusion); cheery marshals, in spite of the rain; really friendly bunch of runners.

Well done Marlow Striders.

In short: Glorious scenery, excellent organisation and killer hills - a great race

In full: My 6th time running this race and still my favourite in the calendar. Forget trying to get a PB due to two killer hills but instead just enjoy the wonderful Chilterns scenery through mainly deserted woodland roads. Well marshalled and organised as always and with great support all the way round. I really liked the hoodie this year - makes a nice change from yet another technical tee. Only thing I'd change would be to replace the post run apple with a banana! Fantastic job, thank you Marlow Striders.

In short: Tough hills, great organisation and hoodie

In full: Heavy rain was forecast and it was raining at the start. Happily, after the first few minutes the rain stopped and conditions were good. The organisation was really good and the marshalls and helpers manning the drinks stations excellent. However, I think my strongest memory of the run in months to come will be the hills! The run started with 5 miles of gentle uphill which I found OK. The killer hills were at about 7 miles and 10 miles and seemed to go on for ever! Considering the hills, I was very happy with my time. An extra bonus was the good quality hoodie (I was expecting a tee shirt) which in sizes appropriate for women as well as men (I have several v large tee shirts from other runs!). All in all an excellent run and I hope to come back next year. I will probably ache tomorrow but feel great at the moment!

What a blast, had a great run but two of the hills have become steeper since I last ran -must be global warming !.

Great medal and hoodie and the tastiest apple I have ever had in my life.

Cheery marshals, supportive runners and a snazzy medal/hoody combo! Thank you Striders for another great half. Same time next year (please!)
